I met Yael in an online Palestinian chat room a couple of months ago (#Palestine, Dalnet mirc). Everyone in the room was bashing her and she was bashing the Palestinians. That was right after some Palestinians had committed a heinous act of terrorism against innocent Israelis. I was trying to calm everyone down... I sent Yael an email a couple of days ago wishing her a Happy Hannukah and I told her that one of my students that I tutor, Erez, is a jewish kid and that his mom had offered me some "potatoe food" that is traditional hannukah food. I also told her that I had recently learned about the Jewish esoteric philosophical teachings called the "Caballah" (through reading Joseph Campbell's The Hero With A Thousand Faces) and asked her if she knew anythihng about them.
